Tempurpedic walked us through the instructions over the phone but that didn't work. Two new remotes are on the way but until then, I have been sleeping in a recliner for the last 4-5 days. I wonder how much longer I can last. I've become frustrated with warranty support for this product, because I'm unable to get consistent responses from the support representatives.

Because I have two of these system, I've been able to precisely identify my problem by swapping parts between the systems. I have a bad control box (receiver, not remote), and now I'm simply interested in bypassing the wireless remote functionality and using a wired controller to manipulate the bed. Has anyone devised a method for doing that? I've become frustrated with warranty support for this product, because I'm unable to get consistent responses from the support representatives. If the solution posted by Susan R. (below) fails to work, locate the black power down box under the bed. Check the battery compartment and remove all batteries. If batteries are installed they will prevent a full reset of the box. Unplug the power cord, wait 45 seconds and plug the power cord back in to reset the electronic components. Replace batteries.

Now that the error has been wiped from the box's memory, you can now synchronize your remote with the power down box using Susan's instructions below. Mike V., Antioch, CA 'Locate the power down box for the bed and press the 'learn button' for 1 second and release (Black box under the bed). On the hand control, simultaneously press and hold the position 1 and off buttons. The transmission indicator light will flash slowly and then flash rapidly.

Continue to hold for 5 seconds and then release the buttons. It should now work!

Leggett and Platt is the manufacturer of the adjustable bed and remote components for Tempurpedic. Posted on May 18, 2009. Thanks to Mike V of Antioch, CA once I took out the batteries from the power down box and left it unplugged for a minute the solution Susan suggested worked. My remote / box / motor all manufactured 12/2004 so the current manual did not help me. BTW the 'OFF' button referred to by Susan in the vibration off button which is a circle with a line through it. There are no 'OFF' labeled buttons on the old remotes. Maggie C, Ocala, FL Thanks to Mike V of Antioch, CA once I took out the batteries from the power down box and left it unplugged for a minute the solution Susan suggested worked.

As I recall when speaking to a Leggett and Platt representative regarding the replacement of the motor assembly, I was informed that the electronic components of these adjustable beds are very sensitive to power spikes and surges that occur regularly in many households. One precaution to take with any piece of expensive electronic equipment in your home is to purchase an Outlet Surge Protector or better yet a Power/Line Conditioner with battery backup. Although line conditioners can themselves be very expensive, they will provide clean, regulated power to your most precious electronics.

In most cases though, a simple surge protector is sufficient to prevent any damage to your electonic components. Get one and plug your bed into it. It CAN save your investment. Here is what I had to do: Tempurpedic Remote Control reset instructions:The 'learn' button also operates the power-down function of the power down box found under the bed. First, push the learn button for one second. Next, simultaneously push and hold down the 'Position 1 Button' and the 'Massage On/Off '(circle with the slash across it) buttons. The transmission indicator lamp on the remote will begin to flash slowly then very rapidly.

May 07, 2015. We have a Tempur-pedic. Each side is controlled by its own remote. It also has battery backup for each side (head and foot) in case the power goes out. We simply push a little button on the battery controlled box on whichever side needs lowered. It works to lower them, but they cannot be raised in a power outage.

If you don't have something like that, or a manual crank or something, I suggest you call the company and ask THEM what to do. If it's stuck with the power still on, then even more reason to call the company. Apr 23, 2014.

Wifi Direct did not work with Pixel Using my Pixel phone, I was able to find and connect to wifi module, even select it in the app, but it would give me an error to reset and make sure it was powered. It worked however if it was in home network mode. To get into home network mode, I had to use my Galaxy S6.

I assume this app is not updated for Android 7.1 nougat yet. Glad I had another phone in the house. Also naming the device in home network mode it great because I have a split setup and now know the difference in the two. Was great before my S7 The app worked great before I got my new Samsung Galaxy S7. When I had my Note2 and my LG G5, connecting to my home network WiFi was flawless.

Now, I'm unable to use that feature and can only be connected to the Temper WiFi module directly. Which sucks since now I can't listen to Spotify AND control my Temper bed at the same time WITHOUT using up data on my phone!! Grrrr, back to using the bulky remote supplied with the bed.😑. Needs a serious update, last one was in 2014?!?! I'll stick to the wireless remotes.

Why are people complaining? Saw some comments here saying 'seeing how much we paid for this you'd think something like this would work' lol.well when I paid my 8+grand on my bed an app was never a selling point nor was it even brought up seeing it is dual wireless remote operated.just saying.the bed is perfect, works perfect. My remotes have the same exact feature as this app. Seeing I DID pay for those remotes with the price.why replace them with an app?? People I tell you.never happy. Less features than handheld device and no benefits. For an app, it should have the same LED display as the handheld device and more features.

Consider a timer adjustments for the massage features. The app has so much potential to just barely mimic the handheld device that I already have. The only benefit now is that if I lose my device, the batteries die and a don't have replacement batteries or if my device is broken all together. Consider changing it to include more features and I will consider changing my rating. This app is useless: not only is hard to setup (see below), but it doesn't work on tandem mode. I have a king-size bed, which have one mattress but 2 bases, and each base has its own Wi-Fi module. When I use the remote, it controls both bases, but the app controls just one.

Tempur-Pedic

In theory that's a nice featute, but I'm pretty sure it would damage the mattress in the long term. Regarding the initial setup, it simply doesn't work on Android Marshmallow (6.0) or later: I tried with a phone running the N developer preview and a tablet running M and boh failed (I was able to connect the devices to the wifi module and the app would display it, but then the app would fail to connect - same symptom other reviewers reported). In the end, I had to set them up using an old device running KitKat (5.0). Luckily for me I had a hunch it could be an version incompatibility issue so I didn't have to call support, because I doubt they would know that. Despite these 2 major problems, the UI looks outdated, it misses parity with the remote (like not displaying current levels), and the initial setup could be better (for example, since it could automatically look for the right Wi-Fi while you're connected to your home network).
