Don't agree with post above. I have a Hero with only English available and I want Spanish. I installed MoreLocale 2, and it has lots of different languages (Dutch among them). I choose Spanish, Sense UI restarted and EVERYTHING in my phone changed to Spanish: menus, settings, etc. The keyboard predictive text defaulted to Spanish and started suggesting words in Spanish. This means, somewhere within the OS there is a Spanish dictionary hidden and MoreLocale made it available. The problem is that English is still the only option available in keyboard input language so I can switch to English but can't switch back to Spanish unless I restart Sense UI, which takes a couple of minutes so not a very practical solution.

Still looking for an easier way to do it so please help.

Overall I'm very happy with the smartphone except that it's missing autocorrect. In WM 6.1 Pro you can edit the autocorrect.0409 file so that when you type something like 'wer' it will replace it with 'we're'. I mainly use my smartphone for emails, so this feature is very important to me. For further information on how autocorrect works for PocketPC devices, please readPlease someone tell me. How do I get this feature to work on my smartphone?

How do I get this feature to work on my smartphone? Jeff, Were you ever able to figure this out? I have a samsung jack running WM 6.1 standard and the lack of an autocorrect feature is just not working for me!?!?!:). Dear Sir, I have a Dell Inspiron Notebook with Windows 8 and Microsoft Office 2010 32 bit or 64 bit and a Motorola ES400 Smartphone with Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5.3. What are you attempting to do? If you are referring to HTC Sync (to synchronize Outlook and Windows Address Book (Outlook Express) contacts and calendar events), that works with Windows XP (Home or Pro) service pack 2 or service pack 3. Read your phone's User Guide for more details.

How do I copy files, music and video between my phone and PC? To transfer files from your computer to your phone’s storage card, you need to set the phone’s storage card as a USB drive. Connect the phone to the computer using the USB cable, and then choose Disk drive from the on-screen menu that appears. The storage card is now mounted as a USB drive. Drag and drop the desired files to your PC to back them up. What software do I need to synchronize my phone with my PC?

HTC Sync allows synchronization between a phone and PC. You can find the latest version of HTC Sync, instructions, and drivers from the Support section of our website. Last night the screen for my Motorola V365 stopped coming on.

I hear the usual musical tones when the phone is turned on or off, and the keys light up for a few seconds as usual, but the screen remains completely black. If I close the flip top the outside screen lights up temporarily but is only a blank white screen (i.e. No images or words). I can touch-tone phone numbers that do go through, and the keypad makeit's normal sounds when keys are pushed; but I can't see anything on the screen at all. Just before things went permanently blank the inside screen would only show the Motorola color image for a second and then shut off, and when I closed the flip top the word 'Motorola' was upside down on the external screen. Soon after the inside screen stopped responding all together (is black) and the external screen went to a blank white screen. I've tried changing batteries, recharging, and calling the unit from another phone to see if that would somehow reset things but with no luck.

I'm using a HP laptop (hard to read model#, starts with 15r030) with windows 8 and a HP 3250 printer. I am using my smartphone as a mobile hotspot (Motorola Razr M).

I was able to print once but not since. Works ok if I use my Verizon jetpack to connect rather than the smartphone. Verizon rep thought it had something to do with passwords - the jetpack has a fixed password, but the smartphone hotspot generates a random password each session. I am looking to get rid of the jetpack to save some dollars, can I print using the smartphone as a hotspot? My apologises, I missed a step when I first compiled these steps for you. It seems that the Class driver is not installed on your computer, this is why you are getting the message about no Internet. With your computer not having the Classic driver installed,it is looking to download it from the Windows Updates.

You will need to connect the computer to the Internet and do ALL your Windows updatesfor the computer and try the steps again. Doing the updates should install the Class driver and thatshould allow use to better complete my steps to adding your printer. Also, I would recommend doingthe updates at a friends orfamily members home, the library, etc, as the Windows updates may be large files that would take time and use a lot of band width when using a Mobile hotspot for Internet. That is your only option if you want to own your own EMTA. The Arris model sold at the Comcast kiosk in Best Buy is hte Arris TM722G, and it IS DOCSIS 3 certfiied.

Unless they are selling something else. As for the models mentioned, there is no such thing as an SB6220. Since both of the other models are NOT EMTA's, I have to assume they meant SB6120. It looks like they did not undertand that you were talking about buying an EMTA, so they only mentioned plain cable modems, of which only the SB6120 is DOCSIS 3 capable. Comcast uses many different models of EMTA, not just Arris, although those are in common use in many places. But Arris models are NOT the other ones that work. However, the TM722G is the only one Comcast will allow hte customer to buy outright and only from the Best Buy stores, and it still requires a tech visit to install.

I expect that at some time in the future Comcast will allow more models and you can buy any supported EMTA, just like you can now with cable modems. But it took a long time before cable companies loosened up enough for us to buy our own cable modems, this looks like it might be a similar long wait. Hi, Which system did the Mobile phone use?I cannot find the model of Motorola. If it is Android system and you want to runMicrosoft Lync 2010 for Android, the phone must be running Android 2.3 or a later phone-oriented operating system. You can try to download Lync 2010 from Android Market with the following steps: From your phone, go to the Android Market, and search for Microsoft Lync 2010.Tap the Install button.

As soon as the app is installed, it appears on your phone. More details you can refer to the part of “Microsoft Lync 2010 for Android” in the link below: Best Regards, Eason Huang Eason Huang TechNet Community Support. Hi, I have a Motorola Milestone working fine on Windows 7 Pro on a Dell Latitude laptopthrough the USB cable for charging and memory card management. Trick 1: I noticed that it will only charge on some of the ports - particularly look for the USB plus power symbol. Trick 2: Plugging in the USB cable I get a USB symbol at the top of the screen on the Milestone. Dragging this down allows me to select the following options for the USB connection: 1. Motorola phone tools 2.

Windows media sync 3. Memory Card Management 4. None Using 3 allows me to get to the data on the Micro-SD card without installing a driver. To copy to and from the phone's fixed memory I use a tool on the Milestone to move it via the SD card.

Hope this helps. Theres no SDK supplied since CodeWarrior 6.0. We use Processor in CodeWarrior to replace the SDK. If SDK has been applied in you original project, and you want to go on using the code supplied by SDK, all you need to do is to add some access path to Embedded SDK Source as follows: a) Open the CodeWarrior 8.0 and click Edit menu followed by selecting Preference item; b) Click 'Source Trees' under 'General' panels on the left; c) In the Name edit box, enter: Embedded SDK Source d) Click 'Choose' button and select the path to the src subfolder of the SDK installation directory; e) Click 'Add' button followed by clicking Apply button; f) Load your old SDK project and rebuild it.

This needs you to install SDK in your computer. It is separated software. Unfortunately your tablet is not supported by the Sky Go or Sky Go Tablet apps. The original Sky Go app is designed for phone devices and Sky Go Tablet requires at least Android 4.0 to work. Your tablet is running Honeycomb which is Android 3.x. However, I believe there is an update available from Motorola to update your tablet to Android 4.0 which should then enable you to run the Tablet specific app.

If someone has helped you, please click the Thumbs Up button. I am not a Sky employee, any opinions in my posts are entirely my own. I have developed a Windows Mobile Pocket PC application using this example from this link and I want the same application for Windows Mobile SmartPhone also. If I run the application on Windows Mobile smartPhone the UI doesn't fit on the Smartphone screen. If I build the application for Windows Mobile smartphone changing the target platform will that work on smartphone? Will the UI of the Pocket PC fit on the Smartphone screen? If I developed a new application uinsg Windows Mobile Smartphone SDK, will that application run on all Windows Mobile SmartPhones? Will the UI of the application fit on all Windows Mobile smartphone, like Motorola Q?

Please suggest me. Hi patsatrix, 1. When did the issue start? Do you remember making any changes to the computer prior to this issue? Does this happen when you connect other USB devices also? You can try to set the computer to cleanboot startup and check if it helps. How to configure Windows XP to start in a 'clean boot' state Note: After you have finished troubleshooting, follow the steps as explained in the article to reset the computer to start as usual.

Hope this information is helpful. I had push to talk added to my Blackberry 8100 and Motorola V365. After working with it, my family decided against it. Now i cannot get the PTT icon off of the V365 and it still shows that it is registered. The service for PTT has been turned off.

The Blackberry is not having this problem. Cingular has told me that it is OFF but for some reason we cannot get the icon off. There is no names or anything stored on the phone. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get the icon removed and PTT diactivated on the v365. My Smartphone doesn't seem so smart anymore! I wish someone had warned me of this problem so I could have avoided Windows Vista alltogether, but alas, here's the situation: I have a Motorola Q Smartphone and a brand new notebook computer running Windows Vista Home Premium Edition. I've installed the Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) software from Microsoft and installed Outlook 2003 this morning (after realizing that I can't sync with windows contacts and windows calendar).

The Sync appeared to be successful, however, only a small fraction of my appointments from the calendar on my Smartphone transferred onto my computer! (mostly birthdays made it onto the computer, but nothing else).

All of my contacts sync'd fine. Can anyone help! I'm going insane with this conversion and feel like it was a huge mistake! Yes, it is compatible.

While the 8820 is somewhat outdated, if you do have problems, there are older version of the desktop software available. If any post helps you please click the below the post(s) that helped you.2. Please resolve your thread by marking the post 'Solution?' Which solved it for you!3.

Yesterday I purchased a Motorola Q and downloaded the Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 update so that I could sync my Q with my laptop, which runs Vista Home Premium. No matter what I try, the Mobile Device Center program will NOT detect that my Q is connected, even when the USB device is plugged in and shows up in my taskbar.

I have tried every option I can find online (disabling advanced network functionality on the Q, uninstalling/reinstalling the driver update and WMDCrseparately, uninstalling from the Device Manager, disabling firewalls, disabling wireless internet connection, etc) and NOTHING works. Is there a solution for this problem, or have I just purchased a phone that I can't use as a smartphone?

Hi RogerArmfield, Thanks for asking this question in Microsoft Community! If I understand you correctly you are unable to update Motorola WX345 Smartphone driver scanner. Please let me know if I am wrong. I would suggest you to contact Motorola WX345 Smartphone support and download and install the latest drivers and software from their website. For any further Windows related assistance, feel free to contact us and we will be glad to help. I just bought a Dell Studio 1747 with Window7 x64 OS. After installing MSOP 2007 plus ALL available Windows updates, I was able to establish a partnership and configure sync for my Moto Q9c (Windows Mobile 6.1), but sync fails every time with the error 'ActiveSync encountered an error on the desktop'. From your thread above, I am assuming that Windows Mobile Device Center and Sync Center are compatible with ActiveSync on the Q9c. Thinking that there may be conflicting software, I disabled all W7 Startup programs and all non-Microsoft services in MSCONFIG and rebooted, but sync still fails. I tried to install a Motorola update (MSUQ9cStandaloneUpdate), but this update failed stating that the W7x64 OS is not supported (despite info to the contrary on the download site).

Please advise me on corrective action while I try to get Motorola support as well. My phone will sync with WindowsXP and ActiveSync, but will not with Windows 7 and Windows Mobile Device Center. The WMDC downloaded when I first connected the phone and was able to sync. It did so correct a couple of times. Now the phone will only charge. WMDC reads 'not connected' and the computer does not see the phone in the COMPUTER window to move pictures on and off. I am syncing calendar and contacts on two computers.

The XP one is still working on all items. The Win7 with WMDC does nothing but charge. My phone will sync with WindowsXP and ActiveSync, but will not with Windows 7 and Windows Mobile Device Center. I visited the compatibility page for Motorola SURFboard SB5120. It states that it is not compatible with Windows 7, yet both Windows 8 Consumer Preview and Ubuntu work with it.

How To Install Language Pack

My dad's netbook with Windows 7 is compatible with it though, and it works just fine. I cannot really contact Motorola since the cable modem is not supported anymore and is discontinued. I also downloaded drivers from Windows 8 Consumer Preview, put the zipped folder on a USB drive, rebooted, and tried installing them (they were for Windows 7), but the installer did not extract them where I needed them. The default folder to extract to is Documents. Where do I need to put them? I tried moving them to the system32 folder, rebooted, and that didn't do anything.

It still would not connect to the Internet. Hi Paul, You can use Bluetooth or USB data cable to transfer pictures from Phone to computer. I would suggest you to contact Motorola support for more information on how to transfer photos from the Phone to computer. You can refer these Microsoft articles and check if it helps: Connect to Bluetooth and other wireless or network devices Video: Connect devices to your computer Hope this helps, if you need further assistance on Windows let us know we will be glad to help.

I have been extremely disapointed in the service I have recieved for my phone. I bought this phone about 6 months ago and over the past few months have been having serious service issues. I can pretty much stand outside my house in the middle of the day and have a constant static noise ringing through my phone.

The phone is not damaged, has not been dropped, or left in extreme conditions that would affect the phones functioning. Furthermore, there is echoing on both sides of the call that makes it really hard to communicate.

According to Att they dont cover my phone beyond 3 months, which I find to be absolutely absurd. As, a result I will probably not be continuing my service with Att this isn't the first time I've had problems with my phone. I'm the only one that uses the phone or any of my previous phones that I've purchased through this company. I find it absolutely ridulous that they cannot replace a phone that is practically non-functioning becauseit's the customers fault.Unfortunately to protect my friends I'll be telling them about this soI can prevent them from this hassle.
